Rose Colored Glasses
Valentines day came and went and my sweet husband bought me roses... in the variety that keeps on giving! I received a lovely potted rose "Princess of Wales" and I can't wait to plant it this weekend. I'll even more eagerly await the blooms that are sure to flourish this Summer. I picture myself having vases of roses on every table in the house and will temporarily disregard the care and time it takes to grow really beautiful roses!

What a lucky girl you are to receive roses in this form for Valentine's Day. Believe it or not, we have roses growing here in Kenya, transplants from the UK many, many years ago. And Kenya is home to a huge commercial rose-growing industry, supplying the flower markets in Holland!
