Applique is for everyone - even if they don't know it yet!

I had a great (but busy) weekend that included teaching a class at the Calico Cat in Auburn, WA in Beginning Machine Applique. What a lovely group of ladies showed up to learn all about "gluing" and stitching fabric. The best part of the class was not only watching everyone take to it like a duck to water, but to see one of these gals who was taking the class as a last ditch effort be the first one to complete the project!

I've had such a nice response to the class sample that I will be turning it into a full fledged pattern and hope to have it up for your enjoyment soon. All I can say is yellow pinwheels, polka dots and cute red tulips - it's a breath of fresh air on these gray winter days.
