Heat Wave!

What a great weekend, and we are having a heat-wave in the Seattle area! 92 degress today, which for here, is BROILING. Being from California and watching my family there deal with over 100, no complaints here. Love the sunshine and warmth.

This weekend found me out and about in my little red Alfa Romeo covertible (sunburn and all today). I managed to get quite a bit of work in on a new design for a travel sewing case, so check back in the next couple of a months for that pattern and others from the simple purses and totes to fabulous quilts full of applique. Keeping my fingers crossed and my calendar free, I hope to have a fall release date. I'll keep you updated...

What a blast!

Wow - QuiltMarket was a great experience and I highly recommend a visit to any new designers out there. What an eye opening experience and a unique chance to check out what's new and exciting in the industry. While I was there I had a chance to meet up with old friends and make a couple of new ones too! My favorite new finds were the beautiful wools from Weeks Dye Works and some stunnning new patterns from the likes of Bunny Hill Designs, Fig Tree Quilts and Acorn Quilt and Gift Company (who also dyes beautiful wool as well).
