Long weekends....

Wow - four days off in a row! I consider it a mini-vacation at home... a great way to reconnect with your family and take time to do all the things you've been meaning to do. For me, that was catching up on a movie, a few errands, a few beers and QUILTING! Imagine that...

So, I finished up my prototype for a sewing case this weekend, and will be tweaking the pattern considerably. Sometimes there just aren't enough pockets in the world to hold all the gear for applique and such, so I aim to make something useful. Additionally, sometimes as a designer I paint myself in a corner and out of my skill level. All the better to advance my skills I suppose. I have recently become smitten with needleturn applique and now have control over the smallest details... I'm sorry to say that my obsessive compulsive side is jumping for joy!
